Healthy Fudge Popsicles

It’s been hot outside (for Wisconsin anyway) and who doesn’t want to cool off with healthy fudge pops? Whatever you may call them, they are creamy and delicious and perfect for a warm day.

These healthy fudge pops taste pretty awesome and have great ingredients as well.

Take a look at what is in the traditional “fudgesicle”. Some things that should be best avoided are corn syrup solids, high fructose corn syrup, or whatever polysorbate 80 is.

There are always other options to make a tasty unhealthy treat into a healthy one. This recipe for healthy fudge pops I adapted from The Creekside Cook.

Put everything in a blender and blend. Pour into popsicle molds. This recipe made about five total in my molds. It’s that simple. If you need to get your hands on some molds, check out Zoku molds

Benefits: Coconut milk contains healthy fatty acids and is safe for dairy sensitive folks. A little honey and cocoa powder. Honey is quite a natural sugar to use. Cocoa powder has minerals including iron.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 can coconut milk full fat
  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder
  • 2 tbsp honey or any sweetener, add more if you like
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Instructions
 

  • Add all ingredients to a blender and blend. Pour into popsicle molds and freeze for at least 4 hours. Enjoy!
